Our World Shops (d.b.a. FinnStyle.com, EllaUmbrella.com, FinnishGifts.com, Aalto.com, AlwaysMod.com & GlassBirds.com) is one of the largest importers of modern Finnish goods in the United States. Its wide selection of retail products includes home décor, textiles, clothing, jewelry, gifts and furniture from many popular and well-known brands in Finnish design such as Iittala and Marimekko. The company operates multiple ecommerce websites, each specializing in different product lines. The company was previously know as FinnStyle and later changed its name to Our World Shops, to include its expanding brands and new product lines that were not exclusive to Finland.

  • Maintained 7 websites (6 E-Commerce sites) with thousands of products using Yahoo! Stores platform.
  • Contributed in the strategy, creative vision and build out of new websites, mobile site, redesigns and enhancements.
  • Managed digital marketing program that included search engine optimization (SEO), paid search campaigns (PPC) and display advertising initiatives.

Its marketing services include direct marketing, sales promotion, merchandising, public relations, training, database marketing, and event marketing. Serving such clients as Northwest Airlines, Bank of America, Oracle, Microsoft, Yahoo!, and Sears. It had offices worldwide across more than 15 countries. CMW was previously a subsidiary of hotel operator Carlson Companies. I was at the front line of the client-agency relationship (worked on the Northwest Airlines client services account team.

  • Effectively managed daily operations on NWA.com; a site that received over 1.3 billion page views, 5.2 million bookings, and earned over $2.1 billion in revenue in 2007.
  • Collaborated in large cross functional teams in coordinating, modifying, and removing online content and on large scale and/or urgent projects (i.e. redesign of site & booking engine, TSA alerts, travel waivers, major promos, etc.).
